CARMEL, Ind. – Carmel-based Merchants Bancorp (NASDAQ: MBIN) today announces that subsidiaries Merchants Bank of Indiana and Merchants Capital have been named to the Best Places to Work in Indiana list for the sixth consecutive year. This is the second year the company has been named to the list in the large company (between 250 and 999 U.S. employees) category.
Since 2006, the annual Best Places to Work in Indiana program, created by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group (BCG), has recognized companies around the state that display sustained excellence. To determine the winners, companies from across Indiana entered a two-part survey competition. The first section of the survey consists of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, while the second part entails an employee survey to measure the overall employee engagement and satisfaction. The final survey analysis, conducted by BCG, determines the winning companies recognized on the annual Best Places to Work in Indiana list.
“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized as one of Indiana’s Best Places to Work for the sixth consecutive year,” said Michael F. Petrie, Merchants Bancorp Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO. “The past year has been full of unprecedented challenges, but this recognition goes to show the resiliency and strength of our company, and most importantly, our employees. Their continued commitment to excellence during a time of uncertainty is commendable, and we are thankful to have them as part of our team at Merchants Bank of Indiana and Merchants Capital.”
The Best Places to Work honor comes after Merchants Capital was recognized on both the Top 20 Commercial Mortgage Banking Firms of 2021 list and the Top 20 Multifamily Mortgage Banking Firms of 2021 list by Commercial Property Executive and Multi-Housing News, respectively.
The complete ranking of Best Places to Work in Indiana winners will be announced during the annual awards ceremony on May 6, and the list will be included in a special May edition of BizVoice Magazine.
